A total of $331,000 is paid to all Big “I” states for markets accessed by members.

Last week, the National Big “I” sent revenue-sharing payments to all 51 state associations, based on first-quarter fiscal year 2013 production of national for-profit non-E&O programs.

These payments provide an additional revenue stream to state associations from their members’ use of programs through Big I Advantage®. This includes Big “I” Markets, Big “I” Flood, Big “I” Retirement, Big “I” Employee Benefits, Eagle Agency and RLI, as well as non-insurance products such as Caliper, Career Center and Virtual Risk Consultant.

A total of $331,000 was paid to all 51 associations. This represents an 11.6% increase over the total for the first quarter of fiscal year 2012. The program has come a long way since 2006, when first-quarter payments totaled $123,000.
